Few things evoke the classic feel of old Pawleys Island quite like aging wood, and the soft color of our Illusion Honey sheer is but one of several hues we offer in homage to the weathered chic so characteristic of our incomparable coastal South. Because you just don't see much new wood here — at least, not for long!
In very little time, sunlight, salt air and coastal showers start to wear away the surface of paint, stain and varnish, infusing what's left with a warm yellow hue, even as the hidden beauty of natural grain peeks through. The result, for a time, is a handsome honeyed color, which lasts until the wood inevitably fades to salt-cured silver gray.
Outdoor-curtain sheers are designed to allow more light to pass through than do outdoor curtains themselves. Sheers tend to be used more for their decorative qualities, and for the hazy, gauzy ambience they create, than for shade or privacy potential.
We're delighted to offer our Illusion Honey sheer in Sunbrella fabric, proudly made right here in the U.S.A.
Sunbrella itself offers an unmatched history of quality, durability and exceptional good looks. The fabric is solution-dyed, the color actually added during manufacturing of the synthetic thread fiber, to become part of the thread itself. That means at means the robust curtain hue you started with will stay true for seasons to come, even after the kind of intensive sun exposure common to Lowcountry South Carolina.
A heavy-duty yet lightweight acrylic blend, Sunbrella is also resistant to staining, rot, mold and mildew, yet has a softness on par with cotton.
The Grommet Top hanging style is among the most efficient, and popular, for outdoor settings, and also among the easiest to use as well. With handsome all-weather circular grommets durably fitted along the curtain-top to slip over a stationary hanging rod, these unpleated curtain sheers are a cinch to put up, and to take down. Our nickel-plated grommets also add a handsome design element, the perfectly round holes contrasting attractively with the inherent linearity of the curtains themselves.
Available in several sizes.
