Few furniture materials match the distinctiveness and sturdiness of Southern cypress. Pair this watertight softwood's inherent handsomeness with the sharp contrast of galvanized steel hardware and a provocative design recalling the grand sweep of the frame of some bygone sailing ship, and you have a feast for the eyes that will often lull your eyes to closing!

Cypress naturally ages to a kind of pewter-gray, though it also takes to varnish like a small child is drawn to an empty hammock, and maintaining this stand's original lustrous sheen is as easy as some light-grit sandpaper and a couple of coats of quality stain, or linseed oil.

Hang your Hammock from this elegant 15-foot eye-stopper, and experience your own smooth sailing, right in your own back yard! Also, expect admirers: Our Cypress Hammock Stand just begs for passersby to stop and point, or if close enough, to reach out and touch it.

Really, who can blame them?

Hammock is sold separately.

What is the difference between the 4-ply cypress wood hammock stand and the 7-ply cypress wood hammock stand?

The difference between the 4 ply and the 7 ply is the thickness of the wood. The 4 ply is compiled with 4 layers of 3x3 beams while the 7 ply has 7 layers of 3x5 beams.

Where is the best placement for my cypress stand ?

When placing your cypress wood stand, a hard scape or at least 4 pavers should be placed under each of the 4 feet. If the stand is placed in a damp area (e.g. under a tree) it may start to show mold or mildew and eventually rot or split.

Why is my cypress stand changing colors?

Your cypress wood stand will naturally lose color and turn a silver gray over time. We strongly recommend you do NOT add varnish, lacquer, or place a tarp on our Cypress Wood Stands, as this does not allow the natural wood to breathe.

If my stand wiggles, is it defective?

No, a little wiggle in the stand is to be expected. We manufacture our stands this way to better accommodate the natural swaying motion of a hammock or swing.

What if wood checking starts to happen?

Wood checking is a normal part of the wood seasoning process and is a natural cycle that occurs when wood dries and loses moisture. This process happens because the outer layers shrink faster than the inner layers, leading to visible cracks. While checking can affect appearance, it is a normal characteristic of drying wood and does not compromise the wood's structural integrity.
